Policy Announcements & Public Disclosure

In keeping with our goals of good governance and transparency, this Progressive government will be working to make information about the government more accessible to the people.  To this end, I have begun expanded the TalossaWiki page about the Seneschal's List.  This page has long served as the public list of government offices and office-holders, and now it will be expanded slightly to include important government policies.

Many decisions are made by the government, and only some of them are mandated by statute.  Until now, however, there was no place to see them really written down.  This is not the way things should work.  Instead, these policy decisions should be publicly available in some central space, for the sake of continuity and transparency.

This page will host these important decisions.  We'll want to avoid clutter, so not every little thing will be recorded here, but significant choices about which people might be interested.  A new template was imported to make this possible.  We'll also be flexible about implementing this if it becomes unwieldy.

Relatedly, we will also be adopting a policy of public disclosure.  When significant policies are changed, this will be announced.  This has often happened in the past, but now it's official and it will stay that way.
