WHEREAS Breneir Tzaracomprada has made 20 edits to the wiki and is thus entitled to a Day of Observance of his choosing, and

WHEREAS he has requested a day in honor of advocates of non-violence

THEREFORE I declare July 20th, 2022 to be "Peacebuilders Day"

I thank the Seneschal for declaring 20 July 2022 Peacebuilders Day. I wanted to share the suggested citation as it might give context to where I was coming from:

"...honoring those whose work furthers the application of nonviolent solutions to contemporary problems, the awareness of structures of domination and unethical coercion in contemporary society, and the building of stronger and more vital communities."

The structures of violence go beyond war to include things like unethical coercion/domination, poverty, and apathy/indifference to individual responsibilities within any collective, etc. A comprehensive understanding of the challenges in peacebuilding might reduce individual and collective succeptibility to violent behavior.
