I'm curious, and I know I can't be the only one. Who here is a gamer? Personally I've been gaming since I was a teenager playing Atari in the 1980s in Maryland.

Currently, the Queen and I are avid gamers with our own Xbox. My favorite game at the moment, beside the many, many hours I spend playing Fortnite, is Return to Moria. Speaking of Fortnite, any other Talossans playing? We should play together, that would be fun.

What is everyone else playing? What platforms? I can't be the only one.

I don't exactly play a lot of games, only those that can actually run my laptop and those are Minecraft (Java) and Roblox... yeah.

I played Eve Online and loved it. I kinda lost interest last summer and I wish I could play it on console. I downloaded Stellaris but haven't really played it yet.

I've tried to get into Minecraft because I love love crafting games but for some reason, and maybe it's because the screens are so small, I just can't. My students love it and they've tried to teach me haha.

I have never been a consistent player of the two, it always seems like a go hard for a few months and then no play for a while. Then repeat that cycle. It has been about 10 years for Eve Online in that way and just a few months for Stellaris. Have you heard of a Youtube channel called the Templin Institute? They used Stellaris to develop a series of dramatic sci-fi episodes which was quite wonderful.

Not a lot.. Geoguessr from times to times, and I had phases playing Knives Out. 6 months ago I downloaded 'the Tower' on my phone and I stupidly want to progress in it (usually during boring meetings)

When it comes to board games, I tend not to play a particular game very much. Some favourites are Terraforming Mars, Acquire, Mansions of Madness, 7 Wonders, Power Grid, Village, London (2ed), Eldritch Horror, and Obsession, to name a few.

As for RPGs, I'm currently a player in three different D&D campaigns, one Vaesen campaign, and I GM a The One Ring campaign.

I've been gaming for a while now, but I've gone through phases - 2016-2020 I was all in on CS:GO; the pandemic got me into sim racing and Assetto Corsa; I had a big Bethesda phase until I grew out of it (though I am eagerly waiting for Skyblivion to drop). More recently, Phasmophobia is another game that I learned the ins and outs of but I rarely touch anymore.

Nowadays I don't particularly play any of those kinds of games - I'm really into Baldur's Gate 3 (both solo and co-op), when I'm alone I like to play Train Sim World 5 or Transport Fever 2, and another trusty co-op game we boot up when we're all online and bored is Deep Rock Galactic.

Single player, story driven games I heartily recommend are Disco Elysium and Pentiment; both are absolute masterpieces and I wish I could replay them for the first time.

(edit: I should say I game exclusively on PC and don't own any consoles except my beloved 20 years old PS2, which I really want to restore someday)

In recent years my core friends group has shifted to board games, so for instance I am now an utter Carcassonne nutcase and I've played a few D&D campaigns, though these are all generally limited to the few times we are all in the same place.

And I guess way more recently, if it counts, I've gotten into minutecryptic.com because YouTube kept pushing their channel to my feed. I was equally fascinated and annoyed at the seeming randomness of the clues, but I just had to learn how to solve them, and now I'm totally hooked. I have to say very few things beat the satisfaction of solving a par 3+ clue with no hints.
