Sir Lüc

Fully agree with Mic'haglh that both groups are pretty stacked, IMO 3 is a proper stack, and a rare case where I actually enjoyed all 10 songs to some degree. 4 is weaker but not by much, I could still see myself giving points to almost all songs.

GROUP 3
4. Dire Straits - Telegraph Road

Glüc

Ok, group 3 is strong, really strong. Stronger than group 4. Many songs deserve many points. I'm sorry about some the songs I dont give points to (especially Walk). That said, there is still no excuse for anyone to leave Knights of Cydonia pointless. >:( Best song from last years top 20. It being on its way to elimination is a crime...

Knights of Cydonia - 4
Telegraph Road - 3
Sweet Dreams - 2
Blue Monday - 1

4:

I did not know who to contact so sent a note to the chancery.  Oh well should have been more on top of things (had HVAC installation going on at home)

I was not aware of this outage, although according to the Latest 59, people were posting around the time that the deadline expired (which was yesterday afternoon). In the interest of sticking to TMT precedent, which is to be strict on deadlines (a few years ago, a vote was not counted after it was cast less than two minutes after the deadline), I'm afraid I cannot count your vote.

TMT20 ROUND 2 - GROUPS 5 AND 6

Round 2 consists of ten groups of ten songs each. The top five songs in each group advance to Round 3.

Groups are drawn randomly in such a way that each group contains one 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place song from Round 1, 2-3 songs eliminated in Round 3 last year, 0-1 songs eliminated in Round 4 last year, 1 song ranked between 11-20 last year, and 1 song ranked between 1-10 last year.

We will vote on groups two at a time (although you can vote on only one of the groups if you want). Each voting period will last three days (72 hours). Votes cast after that will not be accepted, with the exception that we will always keep going until we have at least three votes per group.

Give your top four songs 4, 3, 2, and 1 points, respectively. You must give points to exactly three or four songs (awarding the 1-point vote is optional).

GROUP 5
Blue Öyster Cult - Burnin' For You
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
Jason Boland and the Stragglers - Devil Pays In Gold
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Police - Roxanne
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band - Raise a Little Hell
Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil

GROUP 6
Coldplay - Fix You
Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia
Ludwig von Beethoven - 9th Symphony in D minor, Op. 125, 4th movement
Men at Work - Down Under
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train
Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes
Queen and David Bowie - Under Pressure
Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
Stromae - Santé
Whiskey Myers - On The River

Tiebreakers:
- Number of voters giving 4 points
- Number of voters giving 3 points
- Number of voters giving 2 points
- Last year's result (1 > 2 > ... > 20 > Round 4 > Round 3 > Round 2 > other)
- PPV in Round 1 (if applicable)
- Random chance

Tactical voting refers to either giving more points than you normally would to a song because it would make the difference between it going through or getting eliminated, or giving fewer points than you normally would to a song because it might kick a song you like even more out of the competition. This is hard to prevent, but my very strong request would be to not do it. Give points to the songs you believe deserve to go through, regardless of how others are voting. Doing otherwise reduces the value of votes that came before you, which is unfair to them. Remember that it's not a competition between voters, but a collective effort to make a nice list of songs we like. Thanks.

I did my best with all the links but there is always a chance some are broken or have a wrong version or bad audio quality. If a link is broken or you have a suggestion for a better link, please contact me or post the link in the thread. Officially, we are not voting on the YouTube link, but on the listed Artist + Title.

COMMENTARY ON THE PROGRESS OF THE GAME, THE RULES, WHAT SONGS YOU LIKE, ETC., IS VERY WELCOME.
