About Myself:
•    I am the Academic Affairs Associate to the Dean of Health Careers at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE. I\'ve been at the college for over 19 years. Previously I worked in Student Accounting for 14 years before working for the Dean of Health Careers the last 5 years. I also teach Intro to Health Careers, Medical Law & Ethics, Medical Communications, & Medical Office Management, via Zoom, traditional and online for college students and high school students through our dual enrollment program.
•    I am a past Metro student and have taken various classes here including programming and legal studies. I graduated from Bellevue University with a BS in Legal Studies in 2016 and an MS in Organizational Performance Management in 2018.
•    I was an adventurous person in my youth and in my ambition to find what I truly wanted to do in life tried many different types of jobs and activities. I have been a waitress, bartender, cashier, security guard, managed a restaurant, and driven an 18-wheeler. I have even parachuted for fun! I used to love dancing and going out with my friends. I also studied Okinawan Go Ju Ru hand-to-hand combat for several years. "I like to say I'm a little crazy on the inside and sometimes it seeps out!"
•    I have two Pomeranians, (Noelle age 3, and Bobby age 2) along with two Ragdoll Tuxedo cats. All are spoiled!
•    I have one grown son and one granddaughter. I lost my husband to bone marrow cancer 5 years ago, but I carry on his adventure and love for the Renaissance Faire. We have our own pirate group, the Pirates O' the Black Flag, and attend many local faires including the Omaha Potter Fair. I like to make our costumes myself.
•    I am a volunteer for the Disable American Veterans Auxiliary in Iowa for Chapter 5, a member of the Omaha Legal Professionals Association, Optimist Club, Chamber of Commerce, Renaissance Festival of Nebraska, Nebraska Renaissance Faire & Midlands Pirate Festival, Renaissance Faire & Medieval Pageant, Iowa Renaissance Festival, & Riverssance Faire, Sioux City, Iowa.
 •    I do genealogy as a hobby. I have traced my father\'s linage back to 370 BC. Decendents of Constantine I, King Harald Halvdansson, Marcus Aurelius, Viking King Gudrod Halfdansson, and a bunch more! It\'s no wonder I\'m a little crazy!

I have a passion for the ocean, sea life, land animals, and protecting it them.  I love skiing, hiking and cooking for dinner parties.

Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
I am a very independent person. Being a part of an independent country is just me! I have traveled all over the US and lived many places. I never knew about Talossan. I lived in Milwaukee with my father when I was ages 10-14 and loved going to Mitchell Park! I spent many hours visiting the domes and row boating on the lake. Fond memories of that portion of my life. I still have family in Wisconsin. My father was born in Milwaukee and died there. I think being a part of Talossan was meant to be.

In the wiki you can find a lot of information about the Kingdom and your potential province, Vuode (:

There's actually a thread about the next government of Vuode, just after the election deadline which is around the corner.

I hope you have a great time in the Kingdom of Talossan, benvenescu Sheryl!

My 10 year old male cat is Fabio. The 2 year old is Xeno. Fabio is a Ragdoll and weighs about 17 pounds. Xeno weighs less and is much smaller but she is fast! Loves to drop a mouse on the bed as a gift!

An Optimist Club is a group of people that try to help the community by doing things to raise money. We help provide scholarships for kids that may not be able to afford college. They are not large ones but could be $2000 that would help at a community college.

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Used to be a men's only club but now women are allowed. I was the first woman in Lexington, Nebraska to join. I was once asked how I liked it and when I said I enjoyed it, that I had transferred my membership in from Omaha. The guy said, "That's how you got in!" They had been voting women out and never allowed them in. I thought it was funny! He went on to say how lots of the ladies wanted to be the first one allowed in but they were voted out. I just said, "Well, it should be easier now since I am in and was first!"

@lejaz01  Azul Sheryl ! Have you had the chance to have a look at the numerous discussions and activities we are having ? Would you be interested in participating, or starting new things ?
A recent citizen is from Milwaukee, he participated in updating Wiki pages  Surely this will remind you of your years there.

One question, how did you manage to trace back your ancestors that far ? My wife has done thorough genealogy research but is only able to go back to the times of the French Revolution
