Tuischach,

I am submitting this enquiry to the Seneschal but I wanted to preface it with a note saying the intent of the enquiry is not to annoy or harass. This is a genuine point of enquiry based on the recess announcement.

Madam Seneschal, you mention one purpose of the recess was to:

I ask, again, not to annoy or harass, but for purposes of tracking by the Opposition, for the Seneschal to please inform the Ziu of the backlogged work and backlog clearer.

Miestră Schivă, UrN

I thank the Member for his question, with the note that some things are better dealt with informally rather through the structures of the Ziu.

Work which the Cabinet is dealing with, in addition to helping cxhn. Autofil with the details of his OrgLaw reform proposals, include

- helping the Chancery with the impending changeover of Secretary of State - which will, parenthetically, also mean a replacement of Finance Minister;
- the ongoing project to replace the National Database, which is an extremely technical project.
- the question of ID cards;
- issuing La C'hronica, which has been delayed;
- continued work on the Bureau of Home Affairs strategic plan;
- an alternative proposal for the reform/replacement of the CRL;
- and obviously, the schedule of work of the Foreign Ministry, about which the Member has been very concerned in other Terpelaziuns.

I refer the member to this Government's incoming statement, which still applies:

QuoteFinally, we want to impress on the nation that this Government intends to maintain a sustainable work schedule. No-one, since King Robert I left, can be Talossan full time. All of us have work, study or family commitments outside of the Kingdom. Therefore we will keep sensible and sustainable "office hours" in Talossa. If Ministers need to "take a break", they will; we expect that they will inform the Seneschál, and the Seneschál will inform the nation as and when necessary, and adjust our objectives as necessary. We are not Stakhanovites, or if you prefer, Boxer from Animal Farm.

The Government is successfully doing everything that is necessary; it is important that we preserve our human resources so that we can do everything that we promised.

I thank the Seneschal for her rapid response. And will follow up on the items listed next month in the Opposition's enduring effort to keep the nation's human resources accountable to those they voluntarily agreed to serve.
