Resignation as Secretary of State

Effective November 30, 2024 at noon Talossan time, I hereby resign my long held position of Secretary of State. Should I ascend to the throne prior to that date, my resignation will take immediate effect.

Serving as the Secretary of State is a burden and yet it is also a joy. I've loved (almost) every moment since I left the Uppermost Cort four years ago. With my impending accession to the Throne, and with the month of recess called, now is the perfect time to allow the government to appoint a successor and to give that successor time to acclimate to the role.

Thank you for your continued service to the nation, Txec. I look forward to a fruitful relationship with your successor on policies, of some kind, concerning a nonpartisan Chancery and Civil Service.

In accordance with El Lexhatx C.3.1, I give notice that when the resignation of Sir Txec becomes effective, I will be advising the King to appoint @Sir Lüc as Secretary of State.

This will mean, as provided in El Lexh C.5, that Sir Lüc will resign his seats in the Cosa and - at his own request - from Cabinet.
