STUFF (Braneu Excelsio)

The Green Party is delighted to share its fourth Opposition Ministerial Report Card, this time for the Ministreu Stuff

The STUFF Ministry received six terpelaziuns, one was withdrawn, during the previous Cosa term. All of which were from the Green Party. Terpelaziuns were always answered in a timely, respectful, and informative fashion. Acting as STUFF Minister, Minister Excelsio had the second best rating of government ministers especially related to the overall meeting of ministerial commitments and informativeness of replies. Major accomplishments were achieved in the distribution of ID cards, regular and frequent updates of Talossa's social media channels, and distribution of La C'hronica. The Ministry also responded quickly to a technical issue concerning a website link bounce and demonstrated one of the term's most successful instances of Civil Service utilization with the PermSec for Propaganda.

Upon review of responses from the specific terpelaziuns listed below we noted the following highlights:

QuoteOn August 6, 2024 Minister Excelsio replied as follows to a terpelaziun concerning updates to La C'hronica, Infoteca, and our social media sites: "- I was out for a few days but everything is going back to normal. These are very busy times for people working in schools/uni.
- La Infoteca is now updated.
- La C'hronica will be updated up to july in the next 7 days.
- The STUFF deputies have very specific task that are not related to Social media: the IDs and content creation. This contents will be properly displayed to the world in a few days as well.
- The STUFF calendar of posting was set to have a post every 3 days but I then personally felt like it was too much too quick, so I'll aim to post once a week at least, so at the end of the cosa, that will be the average posts per account."

The Opposition notes this was informative and respectful reply which included a personal update on availability. The latter is not required but was welcome.

This terpelaziun concerned the transmitting of La C'hronica and was withdrawn with the publishing of the latest edition which rendered the enquiry moot.

QuoteOn October 3, 2024 Minister Excelsio responded to a terpelaziun raising concerns about not meeting a previous commitment concerning social media postings, as follows: "About social media:
I acknowledge I haven't been able to post as much as I would like. I will aim to have 3 posts per month for the rest of the Cosa.

About STUFF Deputies:
Citizen da Miéletz is creating content in the form of handbooks focused on his cultural area of interest, while Citizen Autófil, besides handling his Ministry and other government-related duties, is assisting me with gathering materials for the creation of IDs and will print them when we're absolutely ready, hoping mid-November.

What I can share in advance is that we will once again begin the process of collecting data for all citizens who have passed the civic exam in order to print and ship their respective IDs. During October 5-31, all citizens will be able to post in a dedicated thread to verify and confirm that their information is accurate to ensure proper delivery of their identification. Additionally, we want to take advantage of this time to await a positive outcome in the current referendum on the Heir Presumptive, as the design of the official IDs would change in light of this news."

The Opposition gives kudos to the Minister for acknowledging the concern and then describing concrete actions to rectify the matter. Further, the reply was detailed and informative on the specified actions. This was an example of why the STUFF Ministry evaluation was positive. No one expects perfection but honesty when striving for excellence makes excellence more likely.

QuoteOn November 3, 2024 Deputy Minister Autofil responded on behalf of the Ministry concerning the potential existence of a website or email link bounce issue as raised by someone on our Facebook page: "As Deputy Minister, I may be able to assist here. (And I thank the Member for this question.) The Permanent Secretary of Backend Administration is currently working through an authentication problem on our webmail accounts, but I anticipate it will be resolved shortly."

The Opposition noted the succinct but informative reply of the Deputy Minister. This was also a positive note for intra-agency coordination between STUFF Ministry officials. The issue was resolved.

QuoteOn December 5, 2024 Minister Excelsio responded to a terpelaziun requesting updates on the status of distributing new ID cards: "We are starting the process of address confirmation today and I hope we'll be printing them in no longer than 2 weeks."

The Opposition notes that ID cards were indeed transmitted after the Ministry confirmed cardholder personal data and contacts. The system by which this occurred was organized and consumer-friendly. This was an Avant coalition commitment successfully completed.

I am the one who updates the Infoteca.
Thank you for bringing it to the attention of the Ministry.
When I read the terpelaziun on January 24 I immediately went to update it but forgot to answer this terpelaziun until today."
