Hiatus and deputy announcement

you may be aware that my recent career change has been marred by a few issues. The Sixth Clark was conducted entirely on Wittenberg due to issues with the old Database; electoral literature was sent before voting was open in a break from the past; voting itself was opened a few hours later than I would have liked; Innuendo was eliminated from TMT20 all too early; and now a citizen was reassigned to the wrong province.

In truth, I suffer from a serious condition Talossan medical scholars known as ragatzitis. It is caused by a infestation of bedbugs (or rather, one particularly lanky bedbug) which I have yet to understand how to get rid of; offerings of vegan meatballs have not improved the situation and my quality of sleep is worsening. While my condition is debilitating, I still do not think my performance reflects well on what Talossans expect from my position, and that's why I have decided I need a break and for someone more experienced than me to coach me through the duties of my office.

Thankfully, one such person exists and is currently Talossanly unemployed; Duke Ian has gracefully agreed to serve as Deputy Acting Chanceryhead while I seek treatment. He was kind enough to say a few words upon receiving news of his appointment:

Such a shame Sir Luc that your bedbug is affecting you in such dire ways, though I suspect there are many people who would not be too upset to share your condition!

Nevertheless, I note with humor the fact you managed to get the Duke to recite the opening lines of the Emancipation Proclamation while wearing the Sash of the Republic. The very Sash of the Republic that a certain reigning King of Talossa asked a former King of Talossa to send to him and to which a reigning King of Talossa received no reply from a certain former King of Talossa. Quite the conundrum.
