Mic’haglh Autófil, O.Be

Did Mic'haglh Autófil assist you with the creation of an armorial achievement during his time as the Long Fellow? Do you think it could look better? Well it can! Yes, folks, you heard it straight from the fox's mouth. The newly-minted Coletxüt del Fotz Mesquaic has recently upgraded some of his artistic "ingredients" and in celebration of his recent promotion is extending an offer to anyone who had an escutcheon designed by him the opportunity to refresh the depiction of their arms. Keep in mind, this does not mean they may have new arms -- the blazon has already been granted by one of two Kings. Rather, let's look at an example of what I'm talking about:

Look at that misshapen shield, it's not even symmetrical!

A nice Tudor arch, much better!

If you are @Caleb Frenibuerg , @þerxh Sant-Enogat , or @Barclamïu da Miéletz , and the prospect of a bit more professional of a design appeals to you, send the Foxmouth Pursuivant a message and together you'll look over what can be done.

I would love a visual refresh of mine which was created many years ago and likely could use it. But I am not certain where the file is on TalossaWiki.

Side note: no one is obligated to take up this request, since enblazonments may be done by anyone and they are not strictly part of the remit of the Coletx.  If someone wishes to do so (including a member of the public), then it might also be helpful to know that S:reu Tzaracomprada's request in 2007 was for "a star similar to the one found on the Ethiopian coat of arms (to represent my family's ancestral heritage) and a palme d'or similar to the one used as a symbol for the Cannes Film Festival (to represent my love of peace)."  The star request was rejected since it was very specific to an Ethiopian achievement that S:reu Tzaracomprada had no legitimate claim to; I don't remember why an octagram star was ultimately chosen instead.

Quite a nice offer. I myself remember re-rendering my own arms years ago to a style that suited me a bit more. Graschciăs à El Coletxüt del Fotz Mesquaic per l'ufră xhenerös.

@Mic'haglh Autófil, O.Be you have been helpfully informed by Alexandreu you are under no obligation to accept the request under the very nice offer you posted. But if you do, I will be as excited to see what you come up with as I was when you created the logo for Fora Talossa.

Thank you Carlus! I've been meaning to touch base with you concerning a poetry idea.

I wonder if we should modify our displayed rules to emphasize that enblazonments can be done any time and by anyone and in any style?  We definitely have a house style (clear-cut shapes, full color, etc.) but I sometimes think that people are still confused that the actual official thing is the blazon.

Darn, I was in the process of translating part of my response into Talossan when you quoted me! :-)

Correct -- while the offer as stated only applies to individuals I assisted with the grant of arms for, I may open it up to others down the line as time permits. In the meantime, however, the Squirrel Viceroy is correct: once you have been granted arms, that's the College's work done. Anyone (including you, the armiger yourself) may depict your blazon in whatever individual style you prefer as long as it is accurate to the blazon you were granted. (Maybe you like the Green Town Pursuivant's shorter heater-style shields as opposed to the Tudor arch? Different shades of a given tincture? It's up to you really.)

I hope at some point then in the future you will have time to assist with others. I suspect my arms would be improved by your work.
