I've starting listening to audiobooks on my commutes and have enjoyed a series called Expeditionary Force by Craig Alanson. The first book was titled Columbus Day and has an entertaining blend of sci-fi and humor. And the voice actor, RC Bray, is one of my favorites. The series apparently has 17 or 18 books.

Is anyone else familiar with this series?

I read (well listened) to the first two books. I enjoyed them but don't really remember why I stopped except my interest probably was grabbed by another book. I do like RC Bray as a narrator also.

This series has been my faithful commute listen for months now. There are two interesting facets of the stories. First, are the personalities given to normally inanimate objects. Another writer, Tony Daniel, did this in his books to hilarious effect. The other is a beetle-like species called the Jeraptha who have a gambling-loving culture. I would pay for a spinoff on their culture.
