Citizen petition for Nicolás Masquiarán-Díaz

WHEREAS it has been more than a fortnight since @Nicolás Masquiarán-Díaz first posted on Wittenberg, following his introduction to the citizens of the Kingdom by officers of the Immigration Ministry, and

WHEREAS he has, in that time, demonstrated an active, genuine, and continuing interest in Talossan life, language and culture, and

WHEREAS he desires citizenship in the Kingdom of Talossa, and

WHEREAS by all indications it appears that he would be a loyal and dedicated citizen, and a credit to this nation if he obtains the grant of citizenship he requests,

THEREFORE I, Bråneu Excelsio, a citizen of good standing of the province of Fiovă and of the Kingdom of Talossa, do hereby petition the Secretary of State @Sir Lüc to issue a grant of citizenship to Prospective Citizen Nicolás Masquiarán-Díaz, as specified by law.

(I apologize again for throwing a bit of water on things to make sure we follow the law, but after the slew of false accusations regarding immigration levelled at the Government so far this summer I didn't see a need to add a credible one to the mix...)

I suggest we restart the petition, only to avoid the weird legal issue from Julian's petition re: whether I have to follow the old law or the new law.

WHEREAS Nicolás Masquiarán-Díaz has completed all the legal requirements for admission to the Kingdom of Talossa, and has satisfied the nation and us of his interest in Talossan citizenship (the Best Thing Money Can't Buy), of his intention and desire to participate in our national life, and of his loyalty to the Crown, we are pleased and honoured hereby to admit Nicolás Masquiarán-Díaz to the exalted status of the 589th NATURALISED CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM OF TALOSSA, and of the province of Maricopa, with all the rights, privileges, and duties thereunto appertaining.
