Suggestions from the Coletx for PMPA?

Azul!  As Seneschal, I have relaunched once more the Prime Minister's Patriotic Award to recognize those who recruit others to Talossa.  I'd like to make it a physical award, if possible.  Accordingly, I'd like the Coletx's advice as to the best way to do that.

Right now, it's implied it's a medal.  However, I don't know how realistic that might be.  I could 3-D print something and then cover it in a metallic resin, but I don't want to make this into something that only I personally would be able to award!  We also need a place for beads to go.  So overall, I was thinking something more like a ribbon?  It needs to be relatively cheap to produce.

Any advice or thoughts?

Some ideas that immediately come to mind:
In the Cub/Boy Scouts we had pocket hangers with strands where beads could be added. Perhaps something like this:



Explorer Scouts also have a braided ribbon sort of thing that pins are added to:

Hm.  I like that basic approach.  Like a plastic thing with a pin back and a hanger for beads.

So like these adhesive pin backs are very cheap ($6 for 50).

And then maybe I can print out a couple of hundred of something like this:



With a green cord to hold the beads.

Something like that would be cheap to make (less than a dollar apiece, all in) and easy for anyone to wear.  Although maybe a little adhesive clip instead of a pin would be better, since I don't know how people feel about wearing pins in nice clothes.  Maybe like this.

(Also I love the Scout inspiration.  Scouting is very dear to my heart, since I'm an Eagle Scout and my daughters are all avid Girl Scouts.)

I would love for us to do more stuff like this, including some form of medal for members of the Orders of Chivalry, though that can wait.

I believe the correct translation is Pretz Pätriotic del Seneschal, so I'll probably end up using that, FYI.  And the badge part will look nicer.

I'm also an Eagle Scout, so the medal with beads immediately brought this to mind lol

If you're able to 3d print a ton of them and then upload the STL file to the wiki or some place similar, so that it could be used again if need be, might be a feasible solution that would keep the design available for posterity.

Yes, a design with a flat back and raised lettering could be printed in bulk really easily, and I could upload the STL.

I was fiddling with some possibilities and it might actually be better to make a logo or design, rather than use the initials.

I agree, I think a logo or emblem would be more aesthetically pleasing than simple initials

Maybe something like this with a little hook or clip on the back, and then a green cord for the bead(s) hanging from the hole?

Actually I can probably design it with a channel for the cord in the back, and it can be popped in after the beads are put on.
