Citizenship Petition for Marcüs Causch

WHEREAS it has been more than a fortnight since @Marcüs Causch first posted on Wittenberg, following his introduction to the citizens of the Kingdom by officers of the Immigration Ministry, and

WHEREAS I don't normally issue petitions, because I would be petitioning myself, but

WHEREAS Marcüs seems like the kind of guy we should encourage to stick around, and also

WHEREAS I have a bone to pick with copy-pasted petitions and a point to prove, so

ANYWAY, where was I going with this?,

WHEREAS Marcüs has, in that time, demonstrated an active, genuine, and continuing interest in Talossan life, language and culture, and

WHEREAS the above point is proven by, for example, him adopting a Talossan name so early, volunteering to serve as Clerk of Courts, and being pretty active on multiple threads here on Wittenberg, and

WHEREAS Marcüs wants to be a citizen and he'd make a good one, and

WHEREAS see? it took me five minutes to write an original and honest petition!, so

THEREFORE I, Sir Lüc da Schir, a citizen of good standing of the province of Belacostă and of the Kingdom of Talossa, do hereby petition the Chancery to issue a grant of citizenship to Prospective Citizen Marcüs Causch, as specified by law.

If S:reu Causch does indeed become Clerk of Courts, he'd be the only person in the kingdom who outranked the king, who is currently a deputy clerk of courts!

WHEREAS Marcüs Causch has completed all the legal requirements for admission to the Kingdom of Talossa, and has satisfied the nation and us of his interest in Talossan citizenship (the Best Thing Money Can't Buy), of his intention and desire to participate in our national life, and of his loyalty to the Crown, we are pleased and honoured hereby to admit Marcüs Causch to the exalted status of a NATURALISED CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM OF TALOSSA, and of the province of Cézembre, with all the rights, privileges, and duties thereunto appertaining.

Further small note for the historians. Since this other small note, which I issued when the Database ticked over 600, I have identified 10 Dandelions who were listed as former adult citizens, and one former Talossan who had been deleted from the rolls outright without reason. Besides, the Database now contains a (hopefully growing) number of new Implinds who are not, and never have been, (underage) citizens of Talossa and should not be counted in related tallies.

As a result, I am removing the N-th citizen counter from the writ, until I replace it with a number that is more meaningful.

For the record, Marcüs is the 544th adult citizen of Talossa and 587th overall, when accounting for 43 former underage citizens (Dandelions), 11 of which are now Implinds.
