This enquiry is for the Defence Minister.

The Royal Zouaves fall under your purview, unless I am mistaken, and it has been a subject of failed reform efforts recently. What current plans, if any, are there for promotions or in any other areas for the Royal Zouaves?

I thank the MC for his question, and I'm happy to answer.  I checked in with His Majesty just last week, actually, to see what our current status was.  After the last round of promotions, we began more comprehensively keeping track of cultural achievements, implementing a new system so that things wouldn't fall through the cracks.  At this time, no one currently enlisted has earned a new promotion.  Promotions began harder to get as you rise through the ranks, and there haven't been new enlistees.  However, it'll be good to keep building on this success as we move forward, launching a promotion for the service when we next do promotions.

I'm not sure I ever got around to announcing the new tracking system, but honestly it's just hard to keep track of all the stuff that's gotten done this term!  That's the same reason why we haven't done any recruitment -- we're already trying to recruit people for things, and we don't want a barrage drowning everyone out.  I'm happy to provide more details as might be desired.
