Sir Lüc

Members of the Cosă, you can cast your votes on the First Clark here or on the database: https://database.talossa.com/ziu/clark/vote

You can find the Clark at: https://database.talossa.com/ziu/clark (html) or at https://database.talossa.com/ziu/terms/63/clarks/1/pdf (pdf)

If you vote here on Witt, do not indicate any conditions which may make it sound like this vote isn't final: you can always change your vote later.

There are plenty of opportunities for anyone who wants to do so, to propagandize, pontificate, and argue about climate change, AI, or whatever.  But it seems to me that doing so in Talossa, and particularly in the Ziu, is to import the highly divisive and contentious nature of contemporary politics into our little nation.  Which I don't like, and I would guess is repellant to many visitors and potential citizens, and I'd rather not rehash partisan debates and assertions here.  So ...

Talossa is not a project of escapist fantasy so contemporary politics are a part of its existence. We can't ignore the world and its issues and should debate the issues of the day and take principled stands as a part of our right and responsibility within the family of peoples and nations.

Also, why are people still voting against legislation due to my sponsorship? I have apologized to Luc, refrained from repeated instances of what was problematic, and have been gracious with others. What is the current purpose of the social boycott?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understood this. Are you saying that you think public voting should be the preferred option?

I have always voted in public and I encourage others to do so as well.

Why is that?

Both the first and the second halves of that sentence.

The discrimination in the proposed measure is towards the right of those who state their preference in public at any time that votes are being accepted.  The current system preserves the right for a private vote, but does not force temporal restrictions on freedom of speech for those who wish to state their preferences in public.  Party lists are likely to vote in a similar manner but certainly have no requirement to do so, and to imply that stating a public vote is to diminish free will is inappropriate.
