The role of
Capitán (head of government, analogous to Governor) of this province has been vacant since June 1 of this year, when Audradâ Roibeardét declined to stand again and there were no candidates for the office.
Given that I have been informed that a Fiovan has decided to stand up and make themselves available for this role, I hereby announce that
nominations are now open for the role of Capitán of Fiovâ for the term ending June 1 2020.
In accordance with The Fiovan Elections and Referendum Law (http://wiki.talossa.com/2012/L1_The_Fi%C3%B4v%C3%A1n_Elections_and_Referendum_Law_(Fiova)) Title III, all candidates must provide:
- their name
- their party affiliation (if any) and
- a statement, no longer than 50 words, of their candidate's aims and objectives

Personally, I think that's funny as hell! ;D
The candidate in question was Andy Park of the AMP, and you'd have to ask him why he withdrew his candidacy after I asked him for a 50-word statement.
