Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on March 21, 2024, 02:41:31 PMCurrently, there are only three applications. I have no plans to run a new batch until there are a bare minimum of five. As soon as that happens, I will make a public announcement.
So now there are 4 applications as @Pol dal Timă Lupulescu has also applied

Quote from: Pol dal Timă Lupulescu on March 31, 2024, 06:08:21 AMPeople have spoken. So be it.
My Talossan name oficially will be Pol dal Timă Lupulescu.
Also just made my aplication for an ID card to Baron Alexandreu Davinescu with this name.

Yeeeee
As far as I know there need to be at least 5 cards in processing for a complete batch so @Baron Alexandreu Davinescu will actually make them

Excellent idea !

I mean I do have some musical knowledge. I can nearly perfectly replicate songs in GarageBand sicne I have gotten an iPad from my school. Before that I have done it in BandLab, and before that, I had a looper hooked up to my keyboard (the musical instrument) and made the music using that.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to talk here but maybe we could use the greater Bavarian coat of arms (as the lesser coat of arms is just the white-blue checker in a shield shape)
Please ignore its size. I forgot to make it smaller. But yeah we could use some of the elements from the greater coat of arms for the Talossan coat of arms.

Quote from: Bentxamì Puntmasleu on March 30, 2024, 02:47:50 PMThe lyrics of Vuode's provincial anthem uphold the supposed virtues of Robert Ben Madison (who, at the time of the writing, was no longer king (between his first and second reigns) but serving as Premier of Vuode) against the republicanism of Dan Lorentz and Bob Murphy. Oddly, the music is set to La Marseillaise.

We should probably get around to changing it.

Maybe I could help by composing my own music.

Quote from: Barclamïu da Miéletz on March 29, 2024, 10:59:50 AM@þerxh Sant-Enogat I really don't see a problem that if our province were to have an anthem that it would base on a country's anthem. Atatürk uses Türkiye's anthem
Yes, but Türkiye's anthem is logical for Atatürk.. As Il Canto Degli Italiani could be Benito's for the same reason. And.. you know.. French are always making jokes on Belgian natives :-)
La Brabançonne is a nice anthem but would ring immediately Belgian for people in the Cézembre region.
I'll just compose my own music then.

@þerxh Sant-Enogat I really don't see a problem that if our province were to have an anthem that it would base on a country's anthem. Atatürk uses Türkiye's anthem and Vuode has its own words but sung to the tune of the French anthem. So, I don't see a problem with our anthem having the melody of Belgium's anthem. In real life, countries used to use melodies of other countries for their anthems. Some even made melodies basing on a country's anthem (for example, Yugoslavia's anthem melody after 1945 was basing on the Polish anthem).

Might appear as rude but I have researched and translated his name to Talossan. Pechein Schampeir Figlheu da Lúpul is the result. Can someone correct me? Or is it already correct?
Pablo is the Spanish version of Paul
I have completely forgotten about that

It's too literal.

Pablo is the Spanish version of Paul, which is Pol in Talossan.
I couldn't find any info on the name Dapena, though it probably doesnt mean "pitiful".
I would translate Lopez as Lupulescu.

Okay, yeah well seems like I have done too literal research

WHEREAS it has been more than a fortnight since Pablo Dapena Lopez ( @DJ_POLE  ) first posted on Wittenberg, following his introduction to the citizens of the Kingdom by officers of the Immigration Ministry, and

WHEREAS he has, in that time, demonstrated an active, genuine, and continuing interest in Talossan life, culture, and

WHEREAS he really desires citizenship in the Kingdom of Talossa (as reminded to MinImm directly by private message), and

WHEREAS by all indications it appears that he would be a loyal and dedicated citizen, and a credit to this nation if he obtains the grant of citizenship he requests, and

WHEREAS he will certainly spice up and enrich our Talossan culture,

THEREFORE I, Barclamïu da Miéletz, a citizen in good standing of the province of Cézembre and of the Kingdom of Talossa, do by the present petition the Secretary of State @Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB to issue a grant of citizenship to Prospective Citizen Pablo Dapena Lopez, as specified by law.

Thanks Barclamïu for the proposal ! and the nice lyrics too.
After a few days now, I wonder if it is a good idea to base our Provincial anthem on the national anthem of another country, and Belgium has no real logical link with Talossa or Cézembre. The French anthem would be a bit more logical geographically speaking, but it is the anthem of the country from which Cézembre seceeded on 1982.
Could we imagine another music ? more related to Brittany, such as in this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9mup3aA08Y
All suggestions welcome !
OR I could compose the instrumental myself
