The national election is separate from our provincial election of a Premieir. In Maricopa we follow the national election schedule for our own:
At the beginning of every new national Cosa, we open the Cabana (similar to our own local Cosa) and any Maricopan may claim a seat.
We also open nominations then have an election for Premieir (similar to a president)

If you would like to claim a seat in the Cabana, you may do so in the Cabana - 61st Cosa thread.

If you would like to nominate yourself for Premieir, you may do so by declaring it in this thread.

(For an example from the last election, you can check out the Electing a Premieir - 60th Cosa thread)

Yes I absolutely agree. Anyone who claimed a seat through the Chancery database system during the election will be recognized as having a seat in the Cabana.

Yes, I was also surprised to see that inclusion in the election database. No changes to legislation that I have seen.

I claim my seat in the Cabana

Under the provisions of 59CL1, which states:

QuoteNominations for Premieir shall be opened by the current Premieir within one month of every National Election. Nomination periods shall be two weeks. The election for Premieir shall commence immediately upon the end of the nomination period. Elections for Premieir shall remain open for a period of two weeks.

FURTHERMORE, Should no candidate gain a majority of the votes, the current Premieir shall remain in office until the end of the Cosa term when new elections shall be called.

Therefore, as current Premieir of Maricopa, I now call for nominations for the next Premieir.
 
Nominations for Premieir shall remain open until 7:30PM TST on April 16, 2025.

As far as the squirrels, I do like the new squirrels, but I personally feel they should be bigger (read: taller)
