I hereby resign from my seat in the Estats Xhenerais and will not claim a seat in the next Estats Xhenerais. I do however support the idea of a merger with some other province as this province does absolutely nothing and hasn't hardly any active citizens.

Purpure is discouraged, but not prohibited, and the applicant expressed it as being their only preference.

On this I'd be a stickler for rules.
If it's a question of being discouraged, the prospective armiger was never discouraged on that score.
Secondly, he first said Blue and then choose Purple. So there's anyways an affinity to Blue.
On the choice of discouraged colours, I'd probably like to grant them only to such candidates who claims certain affinity based on education, regionalism or something similar and which cannot be replaced.

Many an armiger here might want to replace charges and or colour if them were permitted in the present case. Strict interpretation have been used in the past, and ideally should continue.
I'll respect your decision. But if this is the case, then we should amend the rules to indicate that purpure is actually a forbidden tincture unless the applicant has a specific and demonstrable affiliation with the color. Currently the rules only say that it should be "mildly discouraged," so you're proposing a pretty significant change.

I think the thing where he said another color first was a reference to Monty Python, by the way.

You are correct on the Monty Python reference. That being said, nothing about this process is that important Azure will be fine.

On May 1st I will have been a citizen for one full year. I put off applying for a CoA as I wanted to make sure I would stick around. Since I understand the next time I can be granted such is April 20th I thought now would be a good time to start the process. What is involved? What do I need to provide? How can I start this process?

That will be very close to my one year anniversary

I decided when I first became a citizen that I would wait one year before applying for a coat of arms. I didn't want to put people out and then decide I didn't like it here. I have decided that I love Talossa and I want a coat of arms but I know nothing about creating one. So my questions are...what is the process of creating one and how long do you think the process will take?

Wittenberg / Charity work
March 04, 2022, 07:11:38 AM
Does anyone have any experience with organizing a charity 5k walk/run? I was thinking this would be something we could do as a nation. We could pick a charity (perhaps by vote) and maybe even try to plan it in Talossa proper or something like that. I have walked in many 5k's but never organized one but I have been involved in charity work before and would be happy to lend what little expertise I have (not much my wife does most of the work). Anyway, let me know what you all think and if anyone has ever been involved in organizing something like this.

I would love to think my petition has something to do with it, of course I know it doesn't with my three signatures, but the IOC has strongly urged sports governing bodies with events planned in Russia to cancel them, the International Ice Hockey Federation has an emergency meeting scheduled for monday to discuss the issue and most European national teams in FIFA are refusing to play Russia in world cup qualifying matches which may force FIFA's hand on barring Russia or accepting that most of Europe will walk out.

I hope this is allowed. I started a petition on change.org to ban Russia from international sporting events due to their unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. I am well aware that this likely won't amount to much but perhaps if it gets enough notice someone out there with real power will see it and start an actual movement to isolate Russia and all other nations who attack militarily without provocation. This is just a small step towards a larger goal of complete isolation of nations who choose the path of violence against their neighbors. Here is the link (assuming I did this right) please sign the petition. https://www.change.org/p/everyone-ban-russia-from-international-sports
