Today, the Scribe of Abbavilla, Dr. Txec Róibeard dal Nordselvă, Esq., O.SPM, SMM announces the following appointment:

@Mic'haglh Autófil shall assume the position of Deputy Scribe of Abbavilla.

The Deputy Scribe shall assist the Scribe in maintaining the register of statutes, Prime Dictates, and referenda, as well as maintaining necessary updates in the Organic Law and El. Lexhatx.

Absolutely. After I've finished updating the 56th Cosa (I have a PD and the newly minted referenda to add to the OrgLaw), I'll get you access to edit the law space (I think that is the correct term). As of right now, I'm the only one who edit the actual laws themselves.

That whole thing is needlessly confusing. There is only one organic law. The 1997 law was not deprecated, but specifically and legally only amended. All links to the organic law should go to the only actual in force organic law, not some to the correct one and some to an older version of it.

Fortunately, this is a very easy fix. Just replace the text at the organic law article with the current updated text, and redirect the other one to that too. Will take only a few minutes.

I've also noticed a bunch of formatting problems in the current el Lexhatx, almost all of which are holdovers from before the current scribery. Would it be helpful to make a list of these on the wiki, post about it here, or what?

Actually, I'd also be willing to help out as a deputy if need be - I'm loathe to overextend myself but many hands make light work.

A lot of this of course stems back to the decision that a previous Scribe made, when the 2017 OrgLaw was enacted, to not overwrite the 1997 OrgLaw, for reasons I never found clear or convincing. Great if this can be fixed.

Yeah: just for context, Auto, the namespace on the wiki for the laws is protected so that only users with the "Scribe" rights are able to edit them.  So before you can assist, he has to put you in that usergroup.

Alexandreu and I have not always seen eye to eye on Talossan matters.  I will, however and gladly, defend to the death his enthusiasm and love for Talossa as well as his ability to hopefully be Deputy Scribe working alongside Txec for years to come.  They will be a great team. - GV
