Clause 9 of the Free Democrats of Talossa constitution states as follows:

IX. The election of party officers shall be conducted annually in a Convention held at the earliest convenience during Winter, defined as December through March. An Exceptional Convention may be called by a petition of two-thirds (2/3) of the party membership, or by a simple majority vote of the party's officers.

In accordance with a unanimous decision of the officers of the Free Democrats, the next Convention of the Free Democrats will be held 15-31 October 2022.

All questions of the leadership, programme, candidates, and even the very existence of the Party will be on the table for discussion. The leadership hopes, in the run-up to the convention, to hold a broad discussion on Perspectives for Reforming Talossa's Monarchy, in which all Talossans interested in more freedom and democracy in Talossa, whether FreeDems or not, will be invited to participate.

SCHEDULE FOR FREEDEMS CONVENTION 2022

1. OCTOBER 1 - OCTOBER 8: Private Session, taking place in the Member's Lounge.

Agenda: Full and frank discussion on the Party's track record and future.

2. OCTOBER 9 - OCTOBER 15: Public Session, taking place on the Conference Hall.

Agenda:

- Amendments to the Party Constitution and the Party Programme.
- Election of Officers: Party President, Party Secretary, Provincial Branch Chairs.
- Speeches from Party Members and Guests.

The Free Democrats Convention 2022 is now in session.

A motion has been presented in Private Session. Please also make sure you're familiar with the Conference discussion documents (also linked there).

There will be a formal discussion period, and then in accordance with Party Constitution s. 5, there will be a three-day voting period from October 5-8 Talossan time.

The Private Session of the FreeDems Convention has concluded, and the Public Session has just begun. A report on the conclusions of the Private Session has been written and will be made public if the Party agrees.
