[WARGAMING] An invitation.

I invite all Talossans to join in a game of Warzone (warzone.com), a strategy game (like Risk but better and free).



Wargaming is the national pasttime according to our wiki and we should encourage more of it. I personally can't get enough of it. With that said:

• Warzone can be played on phones and computers. All you need is to make an account.
• I shall be making a Talossan map in-game so we can start thinking of strategies.
• Also, the time a player has to make its move is 48 hours, after that, the games kicks you out, so yeah.
• And finally, alliances are up to each.

I will make a list of all players willing to play and their province, maybe we can make this like an annual tournament.
So if you're interested, please say it so.
I hope some of you find can find time to spend in some good ol' wargaming.

In another time, I'd love the idea that for every player the Province were stronger, like if 3 people from Benito were playing, each of them would start with 9 soldiers but I think it's really unfair for like sole player from Atatürk or something, lol. So maybe everybody on its own but they kind of start together?

I mean yes, that's the first image that pops in my head when I hear Wargaming too haha and I'm sad to admit I've never played massive battles with miniatures, rather than a 5vs10 battles in DnD. But that's not massive haha ):
I think risk is in the same ballpark if we talk about "commanding an army into battle and using a strategy to win".

I'm glad you're in, I've been playing this game for 2 days now and it feels like a "play by post" kinda game.

I'm glad people are interested in this. I've been playing with old friends since yesterday and it's really good.

Also, I'm taking it back about making a Talossan map to play, I looked up how to make a map in-game and it's something really time consuming that I'm unfortunately unable to do, tbh. But we can do something like this, tho:

It looks awful time-consuming but in a good way.

Maybe like sunday I can put up the server so people can join, having 7 days to do so.

I skimmed through the map making instructions and it doesn't seem too difficult, especially for a map with as few territories as Talossa would have. I also do most of my Coletx of Arms work in inkscape so I'm pretty familiar with it. If you still want to give a custom map a go, let me know!

Oooh, nicee!! That'd be great actually. What I don't know is if every Canton is divided in townships in all provinces.
Maybe dividing them (when necessary) for the sake of the game would be great.

Looking at the big maps at warzone.com I'm amazed at how big the game can be if you design a lot of tiny territories instead of big ones (like Risk- world map, where South America is like 4 provinces).

The question now is what about a Map of Talossa, every Province, every Canton and Every Township? haha at least Cantons is what I made in the map above.

Cantons would make the most sense to me, since then the provinces could serve as the equivalent of Risk's continents. However, to make things more interesting, we could at least break some of the larger cantons down to parishes/sexteirs/"whatever the province in question calls the step between townships and cantons". So like Vuode could go from being two regions to four, breaking up Dun Cestour Canton.

I think if we combine a few of those it would actually work wonderfully.
