Good afternoon all,

The Bureau for Humanitarian Aid and International Development (BHAID) is currently seeking community suggestions for a fundraising target. As we move towards the holiday season, we are entering a time of year in which the sprit of giving tends to see greater importance, and as a result I would like to come before you now to seek community feedback on a preferred recipient; since ultimately this would be the community's charitable contributions, I believe you should have a say in where your money is going.

I will say that from a personal perspective, it would make the most sense to me to pick some sort of charitable organization in the Milwaukee area, but I am open to your suggestions. I will keep this list updated as more suggestions come in, and by the end of the month will move to having some sort of decision (perhaps by community straw poll, unless a clear choice emerges ahead of time).

Current Suggestions
  • Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity
  • Campaign for Uyghurs
  • World Central Kitchen
  • Major Chords for Minors
Minister of Technology
The Long Fellow, Royal Talossan College of Arms
Specialist, Els Zuávs da l'Altahál Rexhitál
Zirecteir Naziunal, Parti da Reformaziun

Breneir Tzaracomprada

I am glad to see the creation of this thread has been completed. Thank you Minister Autofil.
I would like to add World Central Kitchen to the list which "provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises."

It's not in Milwaukee but an organization I used to organize a fundraiser for in my hometown was Major Chords for Minors. It is an organization that provides free music lessons (and instruments) for kids up to 18 years of age. They are a wonderful group of people. It is also a registered charity
