Sir Ian Plätschisch

Applicant Name:
Ralph J. Hansen

Gender:
Male

Year of Birth:
1952

Location:
Westmont, IL

Have you been introduced to the Kingdom of Talossa by an existing citizen?
NO -

Do you have any previous experience with, or membership in, any "micronations"?
NO -

Is it okay if Talossan citizens contact you by e-mail?
YES

Is it okay if Talossan citizens contact you by telephone?
NO

About Myself:
Working full time, will retire after I win big at the lotto.
Work in the gaming industry.
Hobbies include woodworking, gardening, cooking.
Born & raised in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
It sounds like just the place I would like to be from. The chance to learn a new language sounds good to me. Being from Alaska, the climate of Talossan would not bother me in the slightest. Bring on the cold.  Being a Talossian would enrich my understanding of other cultures, in ways I can't even imagine.  I would be proud to be accepted as a citizen of Talossa.

Sincerely,

RJ Hansen

Hi Ralph, I spent 7 years in Alaska (well, Anchorage)! What took you from the land of Chena Hot Springs down to Westmont? Also, welcome :)

Thanks, All for the welcome.

Breneir,
Basically, my folks lost everything in a flood and with 8 kids to feed, they decided to move South to Northeastern Michigan. I was in my teens at the time.  I still have a good childhood friend I keep in touch with.  You can take me out of Alaska, but you can't take the Alaska out of me.  :)

Sir Txec,
I'm a Preventive Maintenance Supervisor for Accelentertainment in IL. We work on the video poker/slot machines you see in bar/pubs/taverns,etc... keeping 'em clean & running.

Breneir Tzaracomprada

Thank you Ralph for sharing this part of your personal story. That sounds incredibly rough for a large family to make such a move under such challenging circumstances. What most interests you here in the Kingdom?

How interesting. When you said gaming my mind went to video games, but I bet working on gaming machines would be quite an interesting job!

Azul! I was born in Anchorage but have no memory of it; we moved when I was two and I've never been back.

Been a bit since I was last here, Holidays, family, life. etc...
But I do have a few questions:
How do you go from prospective citizen to citizen? Just wondering. When do you qualify for an ID card?
And what province would I be assigned to? Or do I get to choose?

You've hung around for more than 15 days, so any citizen can ask the SoS to administer the Oath of Citizenship. I'll do it if you like.

QuoteWhen do you qualify for an ID card?

See here.

QuoteAnd what province would I be assigned to?

You're in Illinois? Vuode Province, I believe.
