4. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - The Mercy Seat

The constant repetition with all these subtle changes at the end really hits hard because it underlines the descent into terror and doubt while waiting for death, especially considering the ambiguity about the possibility he may be innocent. Devastating song.

(I promise if we get a 5th nom, I will pick something more cheerful and a lot shorter.)
