Group 1: Well I'm not Lüc but yeah, compared to what's too come, this group isn't nearly strong enough. Still good songs of course and difficult choices to make, but based on what's left almost certainly the weakest group this round.

Group 2: Stacked. Only 1 point for Telegraph Road and nothing for Bohemian Rhapsody, Enjoy the Silence, or Solsbury Hill!!! Songs in this group got a combined 25 points from me in round 2. Now I have only 10...

Sir Lüc

All three groups are varying degrees of strong to me, and no doubt at least one of 4 and 5 will be strong too. I thought the toughest choice was in group 2, but group 3 turned out to be much more difficult to vote on. Group 1 also has a few personal favourites that I doubt will make it through.
So carnage is coming, but at this stage of the tournament that's pretty much inevitable, as personal favourites have a tougher time against stronger popular picks, when the field narrows down and especially when a fair number survived this far.

Are you saying the infographic would enhance the TMT20 page, or that the infographic itself is a "years-long tradition"?

TMT20 ROUND 3

Round 3 consists of five groups of ten songs each. The top five songs from each group advance according to the flowchart above. Groups are drawn randomly in such a way that each group contains two 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place songs from Round 2.

We will vote on groups 1, 2, and 3 and then groups 4 and 5. Each voting period will last three days (72 hours). Votes cast after that will not be accepted, with the exception that we will always keep going until we have at least three votes per group.

Give your top four songs 4, 3, 2, and 1 points, respectively. You must give points to exactly three or four songs (awarding the 1-point vote is optional).

GROUP 4
David Bowie - Starman
Earth, Wind and Fire - September
Editors - Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Nickelback - How You Remind Me
Queen - Killer Queen
Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
Smiths - How Soon is Now?
The Who - Baba O'Riley

GROUP 5
Alan Parsons Project - Sirius/Eye In The Sky
Blue Öyster Cult - Burnin' For You
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
Derek and the Dominos - Layla
Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing
Gaelic Storm - One More Day Above the Roses
Muse - Knights of Cydonia
Police - Message in a Bottle
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter

Tiebreakers:
- Number of voters giving 4 points
- Number of voters giving 3 points
- Number of voters giving 2 points
- PPV in Round 2
- Last year's result (1 > 2 > ... > 20 > Round 4 > Round 3 > Round 2 > other)
- PPV in Round 1 (if applicable)
- Random chance

Tactical voting refers to either giving more points than you normally would to a song because it would make the difference between it going through or getting eliminated, or giving fewer points than you normally would to a song because it might kick a song you like even more out of the competition. This is hard to prevent, but my very strong request would be to not do it. Give points to the songs you believe deserve to go through, regardless of how others are voting. Doing otherwise reduces the value of votes that came before you, which is unfair to them. Remember that it's not a competition between voters, but a collective effort to make a nice list of songs we like. Thanks.

I did my best with all the links but there is always a chance some are broken or have a wrong version or bad audio quality. If a link is broken or you have a suggestion for a better link, please contact me or post the link in the thread. Officially, we are not voting on the YouTube link, but on the listed Artist + Title.

COMMENTARY ON THE PROGRESS OF THE GAME, THE RULES, WHAT SONGS YOU LIKE, ETC., IS VERY WELCOME.

As expected, two more really strong groups where some obvious top 20 worthy songs will have to do with 2 points or in group 3 even 1 point. I just really hope at least one 4 pointer makes it to the final this time.

3 Sympathy for the Devil
2 How Soon Is Now?
1 You Cant Always Get What You Want
