Yes. You are the acting Mencei until the new one is elected, so you'd also be called upon if the Mencei is needed for anything else before that.

A bit confusing in that https://wittenberg.talossa.com/index.php?topic=2811.0 is being led by ESB.  My understanding from the Standing Orders is since he was Mencei last term, his current term as Mencei continues until a new one is elected or his term ends, whichever comes first.

Yes, that vote was conducted by him, but it's over and done with, so the only thing that concerns you is that you should abide by it and only restart the Mençei election once Maricopa has a senator again.

Correct, and his term ended, so we're now in the situation covered by Rule 2.2, where you're Acting Mençei, with all powers and responsibilities, until a proper Mençei is elected.

You mostly need to do two things:

- Scrutinise any bills that get brought before the CRL, or delegate some other Senator to do so by Lex.H.3.5.6.1;

- Preside over the election of a Mençei, as soon as Maricopa's senator is seated. (Though it should be noted that Benito is now also missing a senator.)
