That is an excellent development!  I'm sure your creativity will shine through.

One idea for the lyrics might be to have a blend of Talossan, French, and English lyrics?  Perhaps echoes in the different languages (similar to the Beatles "Michelle") or just words used as is (similar to Talking Heads "Psycho Killer")

Or make a trilingual version. Just like Belgium.

I could also be like Liechtenstein which uses the British anthem's melody but higher pitched.

I'll maybe do that. I'll just pitch the instrumental up and maybe alter it a little bit.

Did some tinkering with the audio.

@þerxh Sant-Enogat @xpb I know I didn't compose it myself. I couldn't bring a melody together. So I just went Liechtenstein and pitched up the melody. As I said, I have also altered a bit by slowing it down and extending the end.

Quote from: xpb on April 08, 2024, 11:03:06 PMI stumbled around with a Fanfare to go with the anthem using Musescore

https://drive.google.com/file/d/15dz9fhHGgjYAqYN8urENvq9f4CbX3pOh/view?usp=sharing is the 12 bars for brass

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qIwZFArd9a45UKHZ1AsPRmPCDMli2hoZ/view?usp=sharing is a synthetic performance

Noticed it's in C major. The melody was pitched up from F major to F# major, so I'll have to pitch the fanfare to F# major as well (I AM going to use it, sounds good)

Once again, who will translate the lyrics to Talossan and French? My vision is three separate versions for some more local (?) occasions and a trilingual version for more official occasions.

Quote from: Barclamïu da Miéletz on March 19, 2024, 03:35:15 AMWhat do you guys think? Melody could be Belgium's anthem "La Brabançonne"
Here are the lyrics:
The song of Cézembre

Oh dear Cézembre, oh holy land of freedom,
For Thee our hand, for Thee our heart!
For Thee our blood, oh dearest homeland,
We swear to you, oh Cézembre!
You went through troubles, our dearest land,
And we have helped Thee through!
Henceforth, your people will keep singing:
The Law, the King and Freedom high! (2x)
The Law, the King and Freedom high,
the Law, the King and Freedom high!
Again, the lyrics.

Maybe, JUST MAYBE I would do the French lyrics myself, using the French version of Belgium's anthem.

As I wrote previously, I don't think it is a good idea to base our Provincial anthem on the national anthem of another country, and Belgium has no real logical link with Talossa or Cézembre. Would we want that many think about Belgium when hearing our Anthem ?
Could we use another music ? may be more related to Brittany, such as in this :

or such as the ones presented by @xpb ?

I really apologise, I couldn't bring a melody together.

So I wrote the lyrics for nothing then...

Barclamïu da Miéletz

Let's just ditch the idea of an anthem for our province then. I wrote the lyrics for literally nothing, I can't bring a melody together, nothing. If some of you do want an anthem for Cézembre then you can do it yourself. I wrote lyrics that I thought will be used but they will have to unfortunately be scrapped. I feel somewhat disappointed...

Don't be disapointed, you did a very nice work ! The lyrics are very patriotic, and I am sure that we can use these on another musical theme.
And I don't know the opinion of the other Cézembréans, I do not decide alone, may be they are OK with the Belgium anthem ?

Some Cézembreans like @xpb aren't in Europe at all, maybe they are fine with it.
I don't know if the lyrics will actually fit a new melody, I wrote them SPECIFICALLY to the melody van Campenhout composed. Whatever, we'll have to see...

Barclamïu da Miéletz

@þerxh Sant-Enogat there is hope after all... I have a vision of making a melody that bases on Belgium's anthem and Denmark's civil anthem "Der er et yndigt land" (There is a Lovely Land). The second one has a very beautiful melody, so beautiful I will use it as base. I'll get to work as soon as I can.

King Txec

Pardon my intrusion, but I'm sure there is some AI option out there that can create a unique musical arrangement that fits your lyrics.
TXEC R, by the Grace of God, King of Talossa and of all its Realms and Regions, King of Cézembre, Sovereign Lord and Protector of Pengöpäts and the New Falklands, Defender of the Faith, Leader of the Armed Forces, Viceroy of Hoxha and Vicar of Atatürk
