The currency is confusing me

I find Talossa's currency quite confusing, as I'm used to and use a decimalised currency which is the Euro. Would decimalising the currency be a good idea?

I think it would also be worth updating the value of the currency.

I'm referring to it as "currency" as I do not know how to actually call it. I also don't know how to for example read 6¤40. All that because I use a decimalised currency on a daily basis, so obviously I will be used to it and I obviously will know how to read decimalised currencies only.

Not everything in Talossa is directly comparable to other nations. We have our own funny quirks and traditions in a country that has existed for over 45 years. So yeah, I don't think you will ever see us change our currency. Most of us like that little idiosyncrasy.

Talossan currency works like hours and minutes: there are 60 minutes in an hour, and there are 60 bence in a louis.

I also don't know how to for example read 6¤40.

Personally I'd read it as "6 louise 40".

For what it's worth, I don't know when that final paragraph has ever been relevant, apart from the fact that ℓ1 is still pegged to US$1.50. Who uses the term "ferrigno"? Sounds like a massive, hulking coin if I'm honest.

This has nothing to do with decimalisation, it's just that the article still assumes an extremely old conversion rate between US dollars and euros (€1 was approximately $1.50 in 2010) and this was never fixed since. The only fixed conversion rate is ℓ1 = $1.50.

Where I live, beer can literally be currency. A guy came over to fix my leaky bathtub faucet the other day. "What do I owe ya?" "Hell, just get me a case of beer, and we'll be square." (Would have had to pay a real plumber a lot more in actual cash.)
