So in the early part of this thread the dates are shifting June to July (ballots out by 7/25 and July to August (ballots due 8/1) correct?

I think you mean ballots out by 7/15, but correct apart from that

As the most recent Senator of Cezembre (by appointment for the final Clark of the previous session) I will inquire if it is the desire of the citizens of that fair province to have the Chancery conduct the election as suggested.

Sir Ian Plätschisch

League of Centre Conservatives (LCC)

"Do you believe the Talossan Monarch should be more than a powerless figurehead? Do you believe in the cultural and political significance of the provinces? This broad coalition of centrists and conservatives (hence our name) is ready to deliver the active, principled opposition which has recently been sorely lacking."

Leader: Ian Platschisch

Candidate List:
Brenier Itravilatx
Sir Cresti Siervicul
Jordan Placie

Congratulations for bringing Cresti back into things!

BTW, Mr SoS, did the Free Democrats candidate for Cézembre get in touch?

Thread updated.

Registrations for parties is now closed. (candidate lists / party platforms can still be updated today)

Senate candidates can also still register to get on the ballot today.

I think(?) strictly speaking there isn't a deadline for referendum statements, but if you want to get your statement on the ballot when it's first sent out, best to submit them today as well.

This is a real problem.

@Ián Tamorán informed me 5 days ago that he had submitted his Senäts candidacy to you. I have receipts from our Facebook group confirming so. It may be a stuff-up on his part, but can you triple-check?

I indicated my interest in the Cézembre forum to stand for election as Senator.  I have not seen any indication of objection in that forum to having the Chancery conduct the election, and was advised to also post my interest in this thread.

X. Pol Briga

Ián Tamorán S.H.

I have verified that I *did* send a message of application five days ago. I can display a verifying screenshot if required.

Getting worried that there might be a bit of an unfairness in the system in that parties can use (and are using) the electoral database to advertise their senate candidates, but senators not affiliated with a party do not have access to the same resources.

Perhaps the law (and the privacy settings in the database) should be changed to allow senate candidates access to the electoral database.

This reminds me that we'll have to update the Talossan text on the ballot (not that anyone cares it anyway, but just for completeness's sake). Maybe next time.

Especially, since the present Government of Talossa wants to fleece individual Senate candidates to the tune of half the party registration fees for the Cosa.

If you feel this is a fleecing, I wonder how bad you're going to take it when we introduce the mandatory Witt membership fee next term.  Plus the 2% mandatory tax for citizens who earn more than $10,000 (USD) per annum to start our welfare programme for retired old growthers.

Just wait till he hears about the Ministry of Justice's new initiative: defendants in lawsuits or criminal prosecutions will have to pay $10 USD just for the privilege to be heard in Cort.
