Túischac'h,

I rise to place an enquiry with the Foreign Affairs Minister @Bentxamì Puntmasleu

In a different thread the Seneschal informed that Minister Puntmasleu is no longer on leave and I welcome him back. In that same thread I offered my services as the PermSecBHAID after learning there were no applicants. What is the status of consideration of that offer? On another issue, is the Minister continuing the work mentioned by the Acting Minister in his reply earlier this month?

Tuischach @þerxh Sant-Enogat

My enquiry presented to the Foreign Minister @Bentxamì Puntmasleu on December 27th is now past the seven-day response period as mentioned in El Lex "H.1.2.4. Any PQ or Terp that is submitted by a MC or Senator in accordance with the provisions of H.1.2., must be answered by the named Minister within seven (7) days of the question being tabled."

If the Minister is oncemore unavailable then I would request an answer from the Seneschal or a Deputy. If he is available, then I would request the Tuischach remind the Minister this enquiry remains unanswered.

I thank the Member for his question and I apologise for the delay.

I have advised the Foreign Minister that a Permanent Secretary for BHAID is an excellent notion, and if the Member (or anyone else watching) knows of anyone keen to take up the role, I advise them to send me a PM with a suggested job description and the Foreign Minister (or I) will make an appointment at our earliest convenience.

Tuischac'h,

As a supplemental question to Madam Seneschal @Miestră Schivă, UrN
There was an additional question for the Foreign Minister (in bold now). Is the Foreign Minister continuing the work described by the Acting Foreign Minister?

Can the Member please remind us what that work was, to save us looking it up?

Túischac'h, Absolutely, here is the former Acting Foreign Minister's reply from mid-December:

I have begun making inroads with members of the MicroWiki community this past week. MicroWiki is one of the larger communities of micronationalists on the Web, and I believe the potential there for international relations is quite high. Namely, I joined their Discord server with three goals in mind, once I was integrated better with the community:

* Establish bilateral relations with interested nations, preferably ones with a relatively noteworthy population.
* Look into the existence of regional micronational organizations (their Wiki does list at least two that are focused on the Great Lakes region)
* Look into the existence of global micronational organizations (preferably a pre-existing one, as opposed to founding a new one, as you may be aware this is seen as sort of reason for derision in the broader sphere).

While the Landing Pier idea has obviously not yet been implemented, I believe I can work something out there with the Secretary of State.

I will be continuing this work on the Ministry's behalf for the time being, despite no longer Acting as Foreign Minister.

Tuischac'h,

That is really nice of you, Mic'haglh, but leads one to wonder what exactly the returned Minister is doing...which was the purpose of the enquiry.

Madam Seneschal, I'm not trying to cause difficulty but you did announce the return of the Foreign Minister recently and it is now public knowledge that some vital and worthy work is being done on the ministry's behalf. Is Minister Puntmasleu on leave again? Or are there any aspects of the Ministry's portfolio, not covered by S:reu Autófil's assistance that he is working on?

Through the Tuischach,

@Miestră Schivă, UrN Madam Seneschal, this question is outstanding.

I apologise for the slight delay. The Foreign Minister is *not* on leave again, but the extra-Talossan commitments which required him to take leave have sadly not gone away.

I can reveal that the Foreign Minister offered his resignation due to his periods of absence, but that I did not accept it. We are looking at a Cabinet reshuffle later this month, at which point the matter may be looked at again.

Through the Tuischach,

I thank the Seneschal for her response and look forward to the cabinet shuffle. I hope this shuffle will allow Minister Puntmasleu a greater ability to serve the Kingdom while accommodating his extra-Talossan responsibilities which have, to date, prevented him from doing so. We need a Foreign Minister who is present and active now.
