I direct my enquiry to the Culture Minister. @Miestră Schivă, UrN

I refer to the Minister's reply from September:

Quote"In previous years I have suggested "calquing" a textbook for a different Romance language for use in l'educaziun glheþească. So, taking Teach Yourself Beginners' Italian or some such and tweaking it for the needs of ár glheþ naziunal. The Ladintsch Naziunal is unsure of the feasibility of that approach, so we're still discussing one that might be better."

What updates does the Culture Ministry have on this discussion?

I am very glad the member asked me this question. Right now there are two different "Beginners Guide to Talossan" projects being drafted - one by @Baron Alexandreu Davinescu and the other by @Iac Marscheir . While the Ministry is disappointed the two projects can't be combined right now, perhaps right now a spirit of "healthy competition", including actual A/B testing by citizens, is the way forward.

I am very glad that you are very glad for the question, Miestra. And I thank the Seneschal for the reply.

Quick note of clarification here: I am not actively working on any new lessons yet. I was told the Ministry wants to hold off on any further support for my series right now, while the other initial lesson is being developed.

In dealing with the government with the grant process, I found them professional and prompt. Tafi was a great help, even if Iac and I butted heads a little bit about the approach I was taking. I hope for the opportunity to continue the lessons in the future.

Updated response to this question:

The Government is pleased to announced that, should we form the Government next term, we have agreed to fund @Baron Alexandreu Davinescu 's "Talossan 101" lessons at the rate of $US25 per lesson, an allocation for which will be made in the 61st Cosă budget.

Should we not form the Government next term, we will challenge the new Government to carry through on this pledge.

A worthy venture. I too will challenge the next Government to carry through on this. And to have them shared via Fora Talossa.

I am grateful for the patronage of the Government, and very happy for the generous grant that's been announced.  I had a spare minute tonight, so I added more problems to work through on Lesson One and started on Lesson Two.  This second lesson will focus on adjectives and adverbs, as well as introducing the concept of agreement.  Here's the first bit.
