March-April 2025 General Election - Wittenberg Polling Station

The General Election is now open, and will remain so until April 1st at 5 PM (17:00) TST (23:00 UTC).

Ballots will be sent shortly after this post is updated. If you don't receive yours, or spot a potential error, you should PM me.

Live turnout (net me getting around to manually enter votes received outside the new Database) can be found here. Election rules can be found here.

HOW TO VOTE

You can vote in either of the following ways:

  • by casting an electronic ballot on the Database: https://database.talossa.com/elections/2025-general-elections/vote
  • by posting on Wittenberg on the official polling place thread (this one)
  • by compiling the PDF ballot included with the ballot email and sending it by email to this same address
  • by compiling the PDF ballot included with the ballot email and sending it by post (snail mail) - contact the Secretary of State for instructions

Either way, the first vote I receive is the one that counts. As per the Organic Law, all votes are final, and cannot be retracted, modified or altered in any way: if multiple votes are sent, only the first one is counted. The only exception is that if you vote on the Cosa part, but forgot to vote on the Senate part, you may add your Senate vote before the election deadline

IF YOU'RE VOTING ON WITTENBERG

Remember to vote on all parts of the ballot. If you only specify a party, your vote will only count for the Cosă.

A. Elections to the 61st Cosă
Vote for one of the following parties:

  • ¡Avant! (AVANT)
  • Progressive Alliance (PROG)
  • Green Party (GREEN)
  • Independent Conservative (DIEN)

If you do not wish to vote for any, vote PRESENT. Voting for any other party other than those listed above will also spoil this part of your ballot and count as PRESENT.

B. Elections to the Senate
If you are a citizen of Atatürk, Cézembre or Vuode, you are also voting for your next Senator. The following people have declared their candidacy:

  • Atatürk: Antaglha Xhenerös Somelieir
  • Cézembre: Sir Glüc da Dhi and Þerxh Sant-Enogat
  • Vuode: Éovart Grischun

This is a ranked vote: You can rank any number of eligible citizens of your province, not limited to those who have declared their candidacy.

C. Organic Referenda
Two referenda are on the ballot:

  • 60RZ06, "The Eternally Present (Din Memoriaziun da Ián Tamoran) Act" (text)
  • 60RZ21, "The Fixed Electoral Date Amendment" (text)

Vote ÜC/YES, NO/NON or abstain on each.

D. Provincial
Important: check your provincial board first. While the Chancery means to facilitate provincial elections, these are not under its purview and voting threads will normally be opened in your province's board. This comment will be updated to reflect such situations and to redirect you if that becomes the case.

Depending on your province:

  • Atatürk: vote for a party to represent you in the House of Commons
  • Belacostă: indicate whether you wish to claim a seat in the Provincial Assembly, AND rank three citizens of Belacostă to elect to the Provincial Council
  • Cézembre: indicate whether you wish to claim a seat in L'Etats
  • Fiovă: rank as many citizens of Fiovă as you like to elect three seats in the Praisidïeu
  • Florenciă: vote for a party to represent you in the Nimlet
  • Maricopa: indicate whether you wish to claim a seat in the Cabana
  • Maritiimi-Maxhestic: indicate whether you wish to claim a seat in the Assembly
  • Vuode: indicate whether you wish to claim a seat in the States General

I tried to cast my vote but I wasn't able to cast it correctly for the Ataturk House of Commons (I could write in an answer but not select it as my vote) so as long as everything else was recorded properly on the database (it was a private vote) I'll post here just for my Ataturk House of Commons vote which is for

I have manually entered your vote. Apologies for the bug slipping through.

(Edit: and now I have corrected the code for all following voters, such that in a similar election the PRESENT option can be unchecked)
