Update: I've decided that the club probably doesn't need a Discord server so I've gone ahead and deleted it.

We're barely active as it is, we don't need to complicate the matter.

Still planning on a May Virtual Shoot on the 6th. Sound off if you plan to participate.

We haven't done a Virtual Shoot in awhile and, I'll be honest, the last shoot didn't go very well.

Instead of organizing a month long competition, I think we should organize a one day event. Maybe we could hang out, chitchat and do some shooting in real time.

I was thinking we could do this on the 6th of May, 2023. Planning this far in advance gives us some time to practice and figure out how we can socialize during the event.

I think we should have a General Assembly vote for the boundaries and the reduction in townships. I couldn't find a law pertaining to any of that.

Don't know how we'll handle the naming of counties and/or townships. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Weishampel consulted on Jurassic Park and, according to Wikipedia, is close friends with Steven Spielberg.

Also, probably goes without saying, Abbeville is not located in a valley surrounded by mountains. Come on, Bard! You can look at a map, right? ;D

Currently, the Toxophilite Club doesn't have anything scheduled. I'll address the club and see if we can organize something. I'll keep you updated.

While we're on the subject, Kaldi is named after an Ethiopian shepherd who, according to mythology, discovered coffee.

El Proïs is pretty self explanatory. It literally translates to "The Landing". The Cestours refer to the area has Hanson's Landing.

You are more than welcome to select a county for yourself. I think we should hold off on codifying this into law until everything is settled.

Below, you will find my preliminary map for Cuntat Manáweg.


The county seat, hereafter referred to as the 'Siada', will be El Proïs.

The county pennent, also know as the 'Vexilour', will be a triangular swallow tail with the top half being white and the bottom half being green.

The county colours are green and white. Green represents prosperity while white represents peace.

If this requires a proposal to make things official, I'm more than happy to write such a proposal.

I think that the club should allow for the use of crossbows by individuals with physical disabilities or limitations that prevents them from using a hand bow.

This rule change would make the club more accessible for more people.

I initially started this club to promote traditional archery in Talossa and I intentionally excluded crossbows. For whatever reason, I've always thought that using a crossbow was "cheating" because it requires far less training and practice to be proficient with such a weapon.

However, crossbows have existed for a long time. They first appeared in China around the 7th century BC and emerged in Greece around the 5th century BC. One can assume that the crossbow wouldn't exist without the invention of the hand bow.

Here's my question for all Toxophilites: Should we include crossbows in our organization or should we focus solely on archery?
