Recently I have been going through the memrise course which (other than the old orthography) has been wonderful. Off of the back of the course I have been creating my own dictionary through an app called WordTheme. The aim of the dictionary is to compile lexica beyond the course, and where there are different ways to say things I have been only adding the community preferred. With that foreground: for ordinal numbers which construction is preferred? -éu or -laiset? The memrise course teaches the -laiset construction but to me it seems unwieldy (I'm willing to compromise; just personal opinion).

Tldr:
Which is better(preferred)?
Seiftéu, vuitéu, nonéu, bisquintéu, etc...
Or
Seifetlaiset, vuitlaiset, noualaiset, bisquinclaiset, etc...

I dunno about "better". My aesthetic preference is for the latter.

Yeah, I like them more because they come from Finnish and are therefore "quirkier"

As an aside, the -laiset suffix has the added benefit of being gender neutral, while -éu / -éă is not.

I massively prefer the -éu/-éă set.

As do I personally other than séifetlaiset because it is so fun to say, especially in a pseudo-swedish accent
[ˈsaːɪ̯.fɘt̚.ˌlaːɪ̯.sɞt̚]
(For any ipa nerds wondering how I would pronounce that as a pseudo-swede)
