Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on July 03, 2025, 02:05:02 PMThanks, has it been addressed now?

I am hoping silence means it has been.

I've just learned that is stylish sci-fi series on Apple+ is getting a second season. The first season was so well-contained that I assumed it was a limited series. It is an unusual entry in the genre but a nice blend of mystery, an homage to Old Hollywood, and other items I will refrain from potential spoiling.

Asking as a bill co-sponsor, do you plan to revise the bill based on the concerns raised?

Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, O.Be on July 05, 2025, 08:31:45 PMFor my part, I think the best remedy is for the Cosa to settle on a Túischac'h sooner rather that later, though I would have no reservations about stepping in as necessary should this bill pass.

@Mic'haglh Autófil, O.Be
As an MZ who is also the current Scribe, would you be interested in co-sponsoring this bill?

Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, O.Be on July 05, 2025, 08:31:45 PMOn the one hand, this would appear to be a fairly rare use case -- quite literally only relevant in the lead-up to the first Clark of a Cosa session.

On the other hand, this very Cosa session demonstrated that issues can and do occur with nominating a Túischac'h in a timely manner.

For my part, I think the best remedy is for the Cosa to settle on a Túischac'h sooner rather that later, though I would have no reservations about stepping in as necessary should this bill pass.

The big caveat is -- what happens if the Scribe is already serving as the A-X or the Mençéi?

Thank you Mic'halgh, something else I was thinking is that we just make the position continuous until the MC either leaves the Cosa, resigns the position, or is removed. So once the Cosa comes back into session if the last speaker returns and there is no objection to their continuing, then no need for a new selection process. Maybe the Dean of the Cosa could ask for objections on Day 1.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on July 05, 2025, 06:52:51 PMWhat did the Scribe say when you asked his opinion about this?

I'm interested in yours too, Baron.
I didn't imagine much opposition from the current Scribe.
@Mic'haglh Autófil, O.Be I've been watching your consistent work on TalossaWiki.

El Funal/The Hopper / Substitute CRLer Act
July 05, 2025, 06:31:33 PM
Whereas, a bill requires the approval of at least two of the three members of the CRL in order to be Clarked, and

Whereas, the position of Avocat-Xheneral can be filled on a caretaker basis between elections, and the Senäts is never dissolved, and

Whereas, unlike the Senäts, the Cosă is dissolved between elections, automatically reducing the committee of three down to its minimum number of approvers, and

Whereas, this lack of provision for a substitute member could create unnecessary difficulties in registering legislation for the first Clark following an election, and

Whereas, in the absence of a speedier procedure to choose a Túischac'h the current Scribe has no reservations with briefly serving as substitute CRL member.

Therefore, be it resolved, that the Ziu of the Kingdom of Talossa, amends el Lexhatx Title H, Section 2.1.5.3 which currently reads as:

Quote2.1.5.3. The CRL shall consist of the incumbent Mençéi, Túischac'h, and Avocat-Xheneral.

to read as follows:

Quote2.1.5.3. The CRL shall consist of the incumbent Mençéi, Túischac'h, Avocat-Xheneral. During periods where the office of Túischac'h is vacant, the Scribe of Abbavilla serves in the capacity normally served by the Túischac'h.

Florencia / Annual Government Gazette
July 04, 2025, 09:47:38 AM
Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on November 27, 2020, 07:26:37 PMthe Governor or someone appointed by the Governor shall be responsible for drafting and disseminating an Annual Government Gazette consisting of the following information via email in cooperation with the Chancery:
1) all provincial legislation approved in the session immediately preceding (and of the current session) the Gazette's publishing, and
2) a list of all members and their party affiliation in the House of Shepherds, and
3) a list of current provincial officials (Governor, Senator, and Constable).

@Iac Marscheir Mr. Governor,

In an effort to jump start provincial activity I am wondering if you have plans to present the required Annual Government Gazette (pursuant to Resolution 2020-09) to Florencians? Also, what are your plans concerning constitutional revisions?

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on June 28, 2025, 04:44:37 PMThis will not mandate such a donation by my reading.  If that's the intention here, then it's otherwise fine, and I vote to approve.

Thanks for the heads up Baron. I've edited the therefore clause to more clearly express the mandatory intent.

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC on July 03, 2025, 04:14:29 PMEstimat Tuischac'h, my Ministry has authorised the release of $US75 to Baron A. Davinescù for the provision of three more Teach Yourself Talossan lessons.

I thank the Minister for her rapid reply.

Mr. Speaker @Munditenens Tresplet I wanted to be proactive in a certain way. Please please let me know if ANY of my enquiries for this month are lacking in respect or decorum for the minister in question. I have tried to ensure that is the case in recent months but am now going to be proactive and seek your counsel to ensure compliance.

Should you advise me that any are not in compliance with common standards for respectful dialogue and decency then I will withdraw it.

Mr. Speaker,

This enquiry is for the Avocat-Xheneral @Dr. Pôl dal Nordselvă

Almost exactly a month ago in response to my previous enquiry Minister dal Nordselvă responded as follows:

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on June 04, 2025, 05:49:50 PMThanks for the question. Part of my desire to streamline involves reviewing if both organic and stuatory laws. I'm not able at this time to discuss individual or universal changes as the process of review is quite daunting. It has taken many years for these laws to be written and it will require time. I will update when I have concrete answers.

As promised, I am following up a month later to see if there are any updates concerning the Ministry's effort to streamline Organic and Statutory laws. Would the Minister please inform the Ziu on any activities related to this important effort?

Mr. Speaker,

This enquiry is for the Foreign Affairs Minister @Antaglha Xhenerös Somelieir

Last month, there was significant discussion around the Minister's proposed Treaty Between Talossa and Carcosa but things appear to have gone cold.

During said discussion the Minister stated that:

Quote from: Antaglha Xhenerös Somelieir on June 12, 2025, 04:09:45 PMI believe we need to proceed with ratifying this, under the assumption that, it will help us to gauge what we are prepared for as a nation.

But the treaty was not presented to the Ziu for consideration unfortunately. Has there been a change of plans or will the Minister be presenting this treaty to the Ziu in the fourth Clark?

Mr. Speaker,

This enquiry is for the Culture Minister @Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC

In reading the eloquent words of a fellow Opposition member from the Progressive Alliance I was moved to follow up on cultural matters. I recall their words as follows *adjusts reading glasses*:

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on July 02, 2025, 07:40:19 PMWe need a fresh look at promoting culture.  Some of the most popular things in Talossa are regular events and competitions that take place: such as Talossan Music Top Twenty, Talossachess, Ceampiunità Talossan del Rälli, and (of course) the Talossan Cycling Association Tour.  These are some of our most fun activities, all produced by reliable and wonderful citizens.  We should be meeting the people where they are, and promoting and cheering on these wonderful activities.

Minister, one of the successful efforts sponsored by Avant, which the Green Party supports, was its efforts to expand our Talossan language resources. Would the Minister please update the Ziu on the status of potential additions to those resources?
