The Royal Commission on Immigration has concluded its work and makes the following recommendations issued via Letters Patent from His Majesty, King Txec.

The Royal Commission encourages the government yet to be elected for the 62nd Cosa to enact the following procedures, of which none require legislation:

• Revive the Talossa Assistant Program. There are many suggestions as to how this could be enacted, including as a requirement for gaining seats in the Cosa (this would require legislation). Other ideas include inviting recent immigrants to participate. Quite obviously, the method is up for debate, however, it is clear that in the days when new immigrants had a TA, they felt more engaged and stayed active in the long term.
• The Prime Minister's Patriotic Award has long been dormant. It should be one more method employed to encourage citizen participation in the immigration process.
• The New Citizen's Guide, while still relevant, could use some refining and refreshing to update it. .
• A renewed push for our existing institutions. For example, it used to be commonplace that new immigrants underwent the process to design and be awarded a Coat of Arms. This valued institution stands nearly dormant. It is also an excellent source of micronational activity.
• The King would like to begin issuing Royal Charters, granting special status to Talossan organizations and businesses, sporting events, and charities. While this does not require legislation, the King would gladly work with MC's to craft a bill enshrining this into El. Lexhatx.
• Continue with diplomatic efforts, led by the King and the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The Royal Commission on Immigrations recognizes that progress has been made in the area of immigration and celebrates our newest citizens. Significant work still needs to be done to continue to grow the Kingdom. As one member of the commission asked, the intent is not simply to inflate our numbers. It is to ensure the longevity of our Kingdom which has stood and grown for decades as a testament to its people.

And We being desirous and resolved for the better governance of these Our realms to have the advice of Our people in the Ziu assembled, do hereby make known to all Our loyal commons, knights, and nobles Our royal will and pleasure to call and assemble a new Cosa, and do hereby further declare that We have given order that Our Chancery and Secretary of State do forthwith issue out writs and ballots in due form, and according to law, for the election of a new sixty-second Cosa as well as Senators for Fiovă, Florenciă and Maricopa in their regular rotation.

Further, We desire at this time most heartily to thank and congratulate, on Our own behalf and that of the entire Talossan nation, the citizens who served in this now-dissolved sixty-first Cosa, especially thanking Dame Miestră Schivă for her faithful service as Our Seneschal during this last Cosa, and all the other members of the Government who so generously give of their time and effort for the good of our nation. Further thanks are due to Sir Gödafrïeu Válcadác'h, Mximo Carbonel, and Txoteu Davinescu, whose present distinguished terms of service in the Senäts will end with the upcoming election.

As I reflect upon today, the 13th anniversary of my citizenship, I smile warmly remembering all the people I've come to know, some of whom are either no longer with us by choice and some who are no longer with us for other, sad reasons.

Thirteen years is a long time, and I have accomplished much in those years. From the early years as RUMP leader and Seneschal to my accession nearly a year ago to the Throne, I am reminded time and time again just how much Talossa means to me and how much it has changed me.

My sincere hope is that my kingdom continues to thrive and grow and become much more than it was intended when King Robert founded it all those many years ago. Civility, grace, honor, humor - all virtues that we Talossans should strive for - have at times been missing. However, I have confidence in the people of this kingdom and in our future.

Speaking of SciFi, I recently found a SciFi game that had all the elements I wanted - space flight, space battles, crafting, world building, etc. No Man's Sky is that game. I've been immersed in it so much, that I've been making planets after Talossan provinces, using Talossan to describe materials, etc. it's been real fun. Anyone else play? I'd love to make one of the planets a virtual Talossa.

As it was recommended to me by Sir X. Pol Briga @xpb to suggest a book to begin on August 1st, I have given it some thought and settled on a book that is not difficult but also is a classic.

Starting on August 1, 2025, the Talossan Book Club will be reading:

The Call of the Wild, by Jack London.

We will have check-ins on August 15, 2025 and September 1, 2025. I will post some guiding questions in this thread prior to each check-in discussion.

If you are planning on participating in this inaugural event, please let me know below. I would like to have a list to help keep readers motivated.

At the behest of the Seneschal and the Cabinet, and upon my recommendation, I am hereby establishing the Royal Commission on Immigration. The Royal Commission will be tasked with taking a hard look at our immigration policies and pipeline with an end result of making actionable recommendations directly to the Ziu and to the People.

The Royal Commission will be bi-partisan and will be chaired by the King. Its membership, while yet to be determined, will be made up of members of both the governing and opposition parties. The King will be asking members to join. While this initiative is fully supported by the government, it is not being run by the government, but by the Crown. Our work will be conducted in public. I would like to ask @Sir Lüc to create a sub-board somewhere on Witt that would be appropriate and provide myself with moderation rights on that board. I would also like to ask that for now, only members of the Royal Commission should be able to post, but all citizens should be able to see the board.

I look forward to what this Royal Commission will be able to accomplish to address the immigration issue. I hope that all of Talossa will join me in supporting this process.

I'm curious, and I know I can't be the only one. Who here is a gamer? Personally I've been gaming since I was a teenager playing Atari in the 1980s in Maryland.

Currently, the Queen and I are avid gamers with our own Xbox. My favorite game at the moment, beside the many, many hours I spend playing Fortnite, is Return to Moria. Speaking of Fortnite, any other Talossans playing? We should play together, that would be fun.

What is everyone else playing? What platforms? I can't be the only one.

To that end, we hereby officially notify the government of the United States of America that we intend to levy sanctions against principal officers until the rule of law is fully restored and all citizens and residents of our macronational neighbor are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with both the United States Constitution, and our own Covenants of Rights and Freedoms.

Sanctions shall be determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in due time.
