Is anyone planning on running for the Benito Senate seat?
#3
@Sir Lüc you should be able to access the emails in the database now.

Quote from: Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB on April 05, 2024, 01:26:40 PMWhomever is the provincial executive of Benito can gain access to ALL citizen emails of Benito for the sole purpose of election balloting for provincial-based elections.

Following up on this, as our Legislature has now completed the required steps to hold a provincial referendum. May I get approved for access to email addresses on the Database? Thanks!

Absolutely. I'll work on this as soon as possible (have to get the help of MPF on this one).

Thank you very much!

I haven't forgotten about this. I'm still waiting on MPF's help.

We are just about a month away from the election and to date, no political party and no citizen of Benito has declared themselves. This is just a gentle reminder!

The Electoral Commission has certified the election rules which can be viewed here: https://www.talossa.ca/files/electionrules.php.

Please remember that this is a free service of which the Baron is paying for out of his own pocket. Let's show some grace here.

I'm reposting Braneu's previous Grant of Citizenship as he is now a citizen again! He will retain his place in the order of naturalizations.

QuoteWHEREAS Bråneu Excelsio has completed all the legal requirements for admission to the Kingdom of Talossa, and has satisfied the nation and us of his interest in Talossan citizenship (the Best Thing Money Can't Buy), of his intention and desire to participate in our national life, and of his loyalty to the Crown, we are pleased and honoured hereby to admit Bråneu Excelsio to the exalted status of the 557th NATURALISED CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM OF TALOSSA, and of the province of Fiova , with all the rights, privileges, and duties thereunto appertaining.

@Tric'hard Lenxheir I need you to reply to the email I sent you to confirm I have the correct contact information to conduct EC business please.

This petition is actually 1 day early as Braneu didn't post until 17 April. 15 days would be 2 May. I'll send the oath of citizenship tomorrow.

No email has been sent yet. I've had quite a busy time at work the last week or so. I'll probably get it off tonight.

We also have the Secretary of State as another safeguard. I always review bills that are intended to be Clarked to make sure they spent the appropriate amount of time in The Hopper, that they received CRL approval, that the Clarked bill is not substantially different from the bill in The Hopper, etc. I also make sure that the proposer/lead sponsor is actually allowed to Clark a bill and check for whether the bill modifies El Lex. or OrgLaw. What I don't do is grammar check and spell check. I copy and paste the bill as is, flaws included.

I think the CRL is a good check and balance and it has worked well since it was implemented.
