I have a prior commitment at that time.

If both Seneschal candidates are not there, I will likely not attend as that would also put me as the Sovereign in an awkward position.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on Yesterday at 01:05:34 PMMaybe!  I've asked my party what we should do.  And I can probably join you at that time regardless, and see what's possible.  I want to avoid any format that puts you in the awkward position of campaigning for one party or another, though.

It's entirely up to you both. I'm happy to join (though there is no link to a Zoom yet).

Quote from: Tric'hard Lenxheir on November 08, 2025, 03:29:11 PMGot it in my calendar, same day as the birthday party my wife has set up for me but if I don't have any other things to do in preperation for the party I will be there.

@King Txec Am I correct that you are ordering all Talossans to sing happy birthday to Tric'hard at the start of the Royal Coffee?

Glad to hear there will be singing.

I wasn't aware that it was his birthday. I won't force anyone to sing though!

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on Yesterday at 12:18:08 PMIt's looking like the answer is no... Mic'halgh's above two questions and the third one which says that the Progressives are "arguing for the status quo" are all unchanged.

I'll see if something else fair can be worked out.  Maybe the solution is just not to have a moderator?  That way he can just make his creative claims and we can discuss them?  I don't know.  I'll ask my party.

It would be a shame for nothing to happen at all. Perhaps just a discussion with myself acting as a sort of referee?

Just a reminder that I'll be chatting and drinking coffee with any Talossan who wishes to join in tomorrow morning!

So, inquiring minds want to know: will there be a debate tomorrow?

I'm trying to weigh in but Google Docs are always conflicting with my work Google account. I'm doing my best though (even though getting them in the correct orange highlight is not fun on a phone haha)

Quote from: Max Maltezos on November 07, 2025, 03:53:42 PMNo, I said that because I would remove him from office if I was the king, Your Majesty.

As this is a Constitutional Monarchy, my powers are limited, and I don't have the power to remove someone from office. I would suggest reading through the Organic Law and El Lexhatx. It's actually quite interesting reading, especially if you have any plans on becoming a legislator, as I think you did declare a new political party.

Quote from: Sir Lüc on November 07, 2025, 03:53:37 PMFurthermore, if you're asking because you want to vote, you will likely get your citizenship granted to you on time to vote in this election anyway, provided you stick around:)

If you're asking because you want to stand for election, I'm afraid it might be too late, but there is a provision for seats in the lower house to be granted by a party to people from outside its list of candidates, so check back in mid-December when seats are allocated I guess?

Don't forget also that new citizens are able to claim 1 seat in the Cosa under OrgLaw IV.

Sure, no problem.

You're right. I had quite forgotten that and should probably include Owen in PMs and such.

Two points: first, it seems that if the opposition did as most other parliamentary systems do, which is to employ a shadow cabinet, then could not the Shadow Immigration Minister perform this function?

Second: Chief Judge Edwards doesn't advise me in any substantial way, is not on my Privy Council, so I don't exactly know what you are referring to Baron. Puisne Judge Plätschisch is a member of the Privy Council, however, but his advice is limited to the functions of any other Guaír (as are you).
