I have lived in the US and Germany. I've visited Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Israel, and Jordan. I've been to 47 of the 50 states in the US, and lived in 3 different states (Oklahoma, Maryland, and California since 1986.)

My favorite places are London, Edinburgh, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and a whole host of German cities, but most especially Rottenburg ob der Tauber and Wildflecken. When I lived in Germany, the east was communist so I never visited that part of the country.

Quote from: King Txec on June 18, 2026, 07:18:55 PMThis "sense" appears on its face to be more about covering up your own sanctioned behavior than it is about the two criminals you bring up far more than is necessary.

Sorry to hear that that is how it appears to you, Your Majesty. If you want me to remove explicit references to them that is fine with me. I'm also happy to include a link to the resolution denouncing me if that is considered appropriate. As I said I'm happy to amend the Sense of the Ziu if it addresses concerns but I do think the organization and the cause are worthy of BHAID support.

Those are reasonable changes to the bill.

I do not support this bill. I find it to be offensive and not worthy of a moments support. It is not only disingenuous but also mean spirited that the author of this proposal would dare to suggest on any level that Talossa "produced" two convicted sex offenders. This Kingdom had nothing at all to do with the actions of those two men, did not condone their actions, etc. We are not guilty by association nor are we responsible for the upbringing of moral failures of these two former citizens.

S:reu Tzaracomprada, I will veto this "sense" if it gets even one more vote than necessary to pass.

I found your paper to be quite interesting. It is quite different from my own area of expertise, and while I'm not sure of your intended educational path, it might make a compelling start toward doctoral research. My own doctoral research grew out of my professional experiences and personal frustrations.

I vote to approve the membership of S:reu Itravilatx.

L'Óspileu/The Chat Room / Re: 2026 World Cup

Quote from: Sir Lüc on June 08, 2026, 10:01:59 AMI for one am happy to report that, for the third edition in a row, my home country is boycotting a World Cup held in an authoritarian regime. (For a country so obsessed about football, we sure are rubbish at it lately. Luckily, I dislike both the game and the obsession, so I shall continue blissfully ignoring the plight of my compatriots.)

Didn't Italy simply fail to qualify for the World Cup? I don't think that's a boycott unless you say they played badly so they didn't have to go? :-)

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on June 04, 2026, 05:22:44 PMI may not be very available over this weekend; my stepmother has been moved to hospice care.  I'm just at that time of life, I guess.  I will be checking in if there's any major issues.

I am so sorry to hear this, Alexandreu. We may not be friends but our common humanity compels me to send warm wishes to you and your family on seeing this news. Your stepmother will be in my thoughts.

Your family will be in my prayers Baron.

Quote from: Danihel Txechescu on June 02, 2026, 02:58:10 PMI believe you have to go to https://auth.talossa.com/ and enter those credentials there. In there, you can go to Settings -> Change your password.

I've gone to settings and preferences and clicked on every option and no where is there an option to change a password.

@Baron Alexandreu Davinescu did you see my message yesterday where I stated I've been unable to provide login to the immigration email I hold in trust as I cannot change the password?

WHEREAS it has been nearly a year and a half since King John abdicated and King Txec ascended to the Throne and;

WHEREAS the Organic Law is therefore out of date and should be amended and;

WHEREAS we should always strive to ensure our laws reflect our current reality;

THEREFORE be it resolved by the King, Cosa and Senate that Organic Law Article II Section 3 shall be amended to read:

QuoteThe King of Talossa is King Txec, until his demise, abdication, or removal from the throne. Upon his demise, abdication, or removal from the throne, the new King shall be the Heir Presumptive, who shall be the duly-designated successor to the throne. Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on April 12, 2026, 10:45:59 AMOkay, the Minister of Technology has set up a tweak on the current user structure and implemented the opposition email account.  I have set up the immigration system to automatically mirror applications directly to it, and I'll monitor it for a week to make sure it's working correctly.  Once we're confident, I'll hand off the account to you, Your Majesty, and you can change the password and share the info with the Leader of the Opposition.

Just as an update here, I have been unable to provide login credentials to the Leader of the Opposition as I am unable to change the password. There is no setting in the email system used in order to accomplish this.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on May 01, 2026, 01:06:08 PMArticle IV, Section 3 of the Organic Law of the Kingdom of Talossa says: "In the case of vacant party seats occurring between elections, the Secretary of State shall inform the King and the leader of whatever party held the vacant seat. The King shall appoint a replacement to each vacancy. If the seat belonged to a party with a functioning party leader, the King must appoint as a replacement whichever person shall be so designated by that party's leader."

Your Majesty, I am hereby designating Tong Mun Kit and Moinul Moin as replacements for these vacant party seats.

If you would do me a favor S:reu Seneschal @Baron Alexandreu Davinescu  and include the number of seats per MC I am appointing so we can do this as legally as possible.

Thank you.

-Txec R

Your Majesty,

Please appoint Tong Mun Kit thirteen seats, to a total of twenty, and assign the remaining seven to Moinul Moin.

It is my opinion that the Organic Law overrules the statute that purports to contradict it. I believe completely that Your Grace has only good intentions, and I commend your care. However, I do not believe that my party's voters should be disenfranchised by regulations that are inorganic and penalize success. I don't think there is any wiggle room in the phrasing of our supreme governing law.

Are these appointments still your intent @Baron Alexandreu Davinescu?
If so, I hereby appoint 13 seats to Tong Mun Kit and an additional seven seats to Moinul Moin.

As the initiator of this process in my request for an advisory opinion, I would like, if allowed, to publicly state that at no time did I as Sovereign wish to or intend to fail to fulfill my Organic responsibilities. Rather, when presented with a conflict in statutory law, I felt it was my obligation to seek out advice before exposing the kingdom to potential litigation. I'm sure many are frustrated by this process, but as with all other matters that come before me, I take this responsibility quite seriously and I hope it is resolved quickly.
